B. Introduction
This program is designed to develop professional that can strengthen and enrich family life, influence public policy and educate families to put research based knowledge of Resource Management, Food and Nutrition, Clothing and Textiles, Family and Child Development, Interior Decoration, Hospitality and Consumer Education.
C. Philosophy
The philosophy of Master of Science Degree programme in Home Economics is equipping the graduates of Bachelor of Science and Postgraduate Diploma in Home Economics with high skills that cannot only be utilized in large scale but also for development of small and medium scale industries. The philosophy is also the development of high level of manpower which can execute development programme in both government and private sectors and create self-employment with the ultimate goal of improving the well-being of the family through programs that educate, influence public policy, and help families put research-based knowledge to work in their lives.

Each Student will be expected to search literature for information on recent developments in an area of interest in the field of Home Economics.
