B. Introduction
Modern challenges in Human Kinetics and Sports Administration at all levels of organisation and management have called attention to the provision of qualified postgraduate and competent personnel in this area. Thus, giving rise to the achievable programme delivery system facilities and equipment maintenance culture, proper budgeting and financing culture and, general administrative efficiency. Sport is a tool for citizen education and in an increasingly globalised world; sport provides a framework for action, a universal language and a means of building bridges between peoples and between nations, transcending conflicts and subverting conditions of inequity. Academic and professional backings at the postgraduate level are the ingredients to proffer possible and appropriate solutions to the aforementioned challenges.
C. Philosophy
The philosophy of the programme is to develop professional Human Kinetics and Sports Administrators/Experts who will advance researches and practices that impart on sports performance, administration and coaching, regardless of physical, physiological, or biomechanical disabilities.
D. Aim and Objectives
The aim of the programme is to produce graduates of Human Kinetics and Sports Administration and management should be adequately equipped with relevant knowledge, research competence, professional skills and attitudes to effectively function and practice as high level manpower in Sports Administration, management and coaching.

E. Admission Requirements
Candidates for the Master degree in Human Kinetics and Sports Administration and Management must posses the following:
‗O‘ Level Credits or equivalent in five subjects including English Lanuage and Mathematics.
A good first degree honours in Human Kinetics/Physical Education with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division and other related course of study.
A good first degree honours in other disciplines with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division plus postgraduate Diploma in Education/Physical Education from any recognised university obtained at credit level. In all cases, candidates may be expected to undergo a selection process involving qualifying examinations. However, all candidates who satisfy the Board of Postgraduate School, by scoring the minimum of 60% in the University qualifying examination may be admitted. Only University of Ilorin graduates with First Class and Second Class Upper division will be exempted from the qualifying examination. Evidence that meet the matriculation requirements of the university of choice. Evidence of NYSC discharge certificate or exemption/exclusion certificate is required.
F. Duration of the Programme
The Full-time programme shall run for a minimum of 18 months and a maximum of 36 calendar months. The Part-time programme shall run for a minimum of 36 calendar months and a maximum of 48 calendar months. For extension beyond the maximum period, a special permission of the university shall be required.

Review of basic statistical concepts: descriptive, parametric, inferential and non- inferential statistics. T-statistics: ANOVA, ANCOVA, regression analysis, chi- square and statistical techniques for post-hoc analysis.
