B. Introduction
The Master of Education (M.Ed) in Arabic Language Education is appropriate for language educators seeking advanced knowledge and skills in curriculum development and Arabic Language Education. This degree is appropriate for teaching in relevant higher educational institutions which produce Arabic language teachers.
C. Philosophy
The philosophy of the M.Ed programme in Arabic Language Education is to educate at an advanced level, teachers in Arabic Language to have higher skills to teach, research and practise at various levels of education.
D. Aim and Objectives
The aim of M.Ed programme in Arabic Language Education is to equip the students with relevant knowledge, research competence, professional skills and attitudes to effectively function and practice as high level manpower in the discipline. ARA 809 Arabic Rhetorics 2 Credits
Origin and growth of Arabic rhetoric. Contributions of various arabic rhetoricians: Abu ‗Ubaydah, Ibn Qutaybah, al-Jahiz, al-Jurjani, as-Sakkaki, az-Zamakhshari, al-Askari and al-Qazwini. Modern development in Balaghah and its role in modern literary works. Intensive study of the rhetorical content of the Qur‘an. Special study of tafsiru ‘l-Kashahaf of az-Zamakhsharia(نهزمخشزى انكشاف تفسيز) as a work of Qur‘anic Rhetoric.
