B. Introduction
The Ph.D. programme in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging is designed for professionals who have a master‘s degree in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and are interested in acquiring expertise in the use of imaging modalities for diagnosing cases in small and large animals. The prospective applicants will have good grades at Master‘s level.

VSR 933 Seminar I 1 Credit
This involves a seminar presentation on the research proposal to the postgraduate committee of the Faculty. The presentation is assessed by a panel. 45h (P); C
VSR 934 Seminar II 1 Credit
The student presents the progress report on the approved research to the postgraduate board of the Faculty. The presentation is evaluated by a panel. 45h (P); C
VSR 935 Seminar III 1 Credit
The final seminar of the research findings is presented and evaluated by a panel. 45h (P); C
VSR 999 Thesis 24 Credits
A research thesis in the approved area of study, under the supervision of supervisory committee chaired by a major supervisor is produced. The work is original and its contribution to Veterinary diagnostic imaging is emphasised. 1080h (P); C
The candidates shall be required to have taken and passed all core courses with a minimum score of 60%. However, candidates found deficient in some courses required for their research work and general knowledge will have courses prescribed for him/her from M.Sc. Veterinary diagnostic imaging programme by the supervisory team. A candidate must pass a minimum of 27 credit units made up of the following to be awarded, the Doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
